Introduction to Risk Management

This in-person course has been designed by our industry experts and accredited by the ECITB against their Level 3 training standards. This course will take learners through the theory of Risk Management throughout a projects lifecycle. Starting from the basics discussing what a risk is learners will be taught how to identify, assess and respond to risks in a controlled and consistent manner.

The course will be delivered by one of our ECITB approved trainers over a day. The day will include teaching, in-classroom exercises, discussions, and a final exercise. The outputs of this exercise will be presented to the trainer and feedback on this work will be given.

    • What is Risk Management and why is it important?

    • Writing Risk Descriptions 

    • Building a Risk Aware Culture

    • Creating a Risk Management Plan

    • Identifying, Assessing and Responding to Risks

    • Risk and Change Control

    • Risk Reporting and Communication

    • Exercise – Develop a Risk Management Plan (RMP) and carry out RMP on a mock project. This will include; holding a Risk ID workshop, filling in a Risk Register, agreeing Risk Response Plans, Assessing Risks and scoring on a PiD.
